Visualcontainer has been invited to take part as partner at FotoFever ArtFair in Brussels as the most important Italian Videoart Platform and Distributor.
FotoFever is the first european photography art fair settles in brussels from 4 to 7 october 2012 and invites 60 galleries from the whole of europe to present the best of contemporary photographic and video creation.

New Ideas about Contemporary and Experimental Videoart
It’s a renowned fact that videoart language and visual experimentation has fallen out of technology‘s spell.
New surveys and researches have outlined a new way of visual experimentation and a new vision of reality and subconscious. Now, the many-sided investigation fields are assimilated, re-thought and “augmented”.

Invited artists are chosen as a representative group of emerging young operators already known and well-established in the Italian and international contemporary art scene. The videos belong to different categories, ranging from animation to performance, in order to give as a complete view as possible of today's videoart.

CROWNS

The Crowns are made from a single blade of grass, woven several times.

The knots are forming a circle, a mathematical structure where all the fragile connections of different souls depict the unity of inner and outer worlds.

The last knot, tied to the first one, testify a circular movement inside the crown so that the end is always a new beginning. 

These works would like to raise questions about the border between nature and culture, animate and inanimate matter, or between pure subjects and mere objects. The crowns are the result of the necessity of a revision and decolonization, not just of the obsolete understanding of animism, but also of the modern imaginaion of which it is an expression.
